Sevilla captain Jesus Navas: We want new deal for Mendilibar

Sevilla captain Jesus Navas wants to see coach Jose Luis Mendilibar handed a new contract.

Mendilibar, having led Sevilla to victory in the Europa League final, comes off contract next month.

Navas said: "Everything has been said, what he has done with us, he has transformed us, he has brought out the best in us and there he is. He deserves to be with us for much longer.

"Yes (I want him renew), because you have already seen what he has done, what he has done is very great and he deserves everything. He has lifted a title, he has had a bad time too and now he has to enjoy it."
