Titans' Nick Folk makes NFL history in loss to Ravens
USA TODAY Sports

NASHVILLE -- While the Tennessee Titans will not be coming home to Nashville with a win, Titans kicker Nick Folk is returning with his name in the NFL history books.

Folk made three short field goals from inside 40 yards on Sunday. That makes 70 consecutive made field goals from inside 40 yards for the 38-year-old kicker, which ties the all-time record.

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker watched from the sidelines at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Folk tied his record. One more make from inside 40 and Folk will stand alone at the top.

The last time Folk missed a field goal from inside 40 yards was on October 6th, 2017 in his final game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Folk was placed on Injured Reserve the very next day and released in the offseason.

It took until October 30th of 2019 for Folk to get back in the NFL. But ever since Folk was signed by the New England Patriots, he hasn't missed from inside 40 and has made over 90 percent of all field goal attempts (124-of-137).

At 16-for-16 this season, Folk has been one of few bright spots for the Titans in a 2-4 start to the 2023 season. Now Tennessee's Folk Hero is an all-time record holder.
