Giants Sign Former Steelers WR
USA TODAY Sports

A former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout is sticking with the New York Giants this offseason.

Return specialist Gunner Olszewski, a former first-team All-Pro  selection who spent a year with the Steelers, has re-signed with the Giants on a one-year deal according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

In 10 games with the Giants last season, after the Steelers waived him in late October, Olszewski 11.9 yards on 23 punt returns and scored a touchdown. He fumbled twice for the Giants, lost one of those fumbles and played just eight total offensive snaps.

In Pittsburgh, Olzewski saw a limited offensive role and played primarily on special teams. He amassed 92 scrimmage yards, zero touchdowns and four fumbles over 18 games before the Steelers released him.

The Steelers eventually found a more reliable options in Calvin Austin, who totaled 249 punt return yards in his first season in the NFL.
