Former Ravens WR Willie Snead has made it clear where he wants to play at in the NFL next
Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

One former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver is looking to play another season in the NFL and he knows where he wants it to be.

Willie Snead spent three seasons with the Ravens and his career hasn’t really been the same since he left. Perhaps he wants to get back to the success he had while playing in the AFC North.

Snead was with Baltimore from 2018 to 2020 and recorded 1,422 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while in the purple and black. His best season with the Ravens was in 2018 when he had 651 yards, which was good for his third-best pro season.

After being an undrafted free agent out of Ball State, Snead went out and had 984 receiving yards as a rookie with the New Orleans. He followed it up with a season of 895 yards and has not been able to see that kind of usage since, where he is targeted at least 100 times in a season.

Snead has not played in more than nine games in a season since he left Baltimore and has spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, and San Francisco 49ers.

Last season in four games played, Snead was targeted three times and made a pair of catches for 14 yards. Now, the veteran wideout remains an unrestricted free agent.

The Ravens recently opted to give Rashod Bateman an extension and drafted Devontez Walker to join Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor in the wideout room. It seems unlikely that the AFC North team that Snead signs with is the Ravens.

Just maybe Snead will be able to get back to some of that success he saw with the Ravens if he does come back to the division. Baltimore just may be on the other side this time defending him.
