Former Cowboys OL to work out for both Jets and Giants

Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman La’el Collins is a free agent, but he might not be unsigned for much longer.

Collins worked out for the New York Jets on Tuesday. He then headed to work out for the other team from the area — the New York Giants.

Collins, 30, went undrafted out of LSU in 2015 but was signed by the Cowboys, for whom he played six seasons. Collins missed the entire 2020 season due to injuries and played in just 12 games in 2021 after serving a suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

Collins played 15 games last season for the Bengals. He suffered a torn ACL and torn MCL in Week 15 and was released by Cincinnati last month. Collins has been medically cleared to play and is now looking for a new team.

Collins has mostly played right tackle during his career, which would make the Giants a perfect fit for him.
