Eagles OL Landon Dickerson buys high-priced lawn mower after signing massive contract

Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson now has the lawn mower of his dreams. On social media, Dickerson showed himself riding a new lawn mower, which appears to be a Gravely Pro-Turn 560 Kawasaki that is retailed for around $15,000, according to ESPN. This comes after Dickerson signed a four-year contract extension worth up to $87 million, making him the highest-paid guard in NFL history.

After signing his contract, Dickerson joked about getting a new lawn mower. And during an appearance on CBS Sports Radio, Dickerson explained to host Jim Rome why he enjoys mowing his lawn.

“It’s just a little time to yourself,” Dickerson said, per AL.com. “You get out there, you can throw some headphones in, you can listen to music, listen to a podcast, audiobook, really whatever you want to do, and it’s just relaxing.

“I used to, growing up, I’d mow yards in the neighborhood, and that was push-mowing and walking a push-mower around. You get on a zero-turn lawn mower, I can just sit there, use the handles, mow a couple of acres in a couple of hours, and it’s really just peace, quiet, being outside, being in the sun, nice fresh air.”

Landon Dickerson loves playing for the Eagles

Dickerson earned the right to splurge on a lawn mower as he is one of the best offensive linemen in the league. After being selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Dickerson has reached the Pro Bowl the last two seasons. Dickerson signed the contract before playing the final year of his rookie contract.

“Being here has been a tremendous bright spot in my life,” Dickerson said during his press conference. “We (his family) really didn’t plan on being anywhere else. Guys, when they leave this organization and go somewhere else and how much they miss everything about this place. For me, I just didn’t want there to be any question about how much I wanted to be here, stick around here, hopefully be here my entire career.”

Dickerson also talked about his goals for the 2024 season. “Going into my fourth year now, I think that I can absolutely step up and have more of that leadership role,” he said. “The extension really shows the respect and the potential that the coaches and Howie (Roseman) think that I have as a player. That only makes me want to continually try to get better, keep improving on my game day after day.”
