Andy Dalton to provide NIL deals to over 450 TCU student-athletes

Former TCU star and current Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton has planned to assist every TCU student-athlete with NIL money through the app myNILpay. The app allows users to tip their favorite college student-athlete whenever they want in exchange for a signed, digital collectible.

In coordination with the launch of the app, which was announced on Thursday, Dalton wants to give back to his alma mater through this NIL initiative. MyNILpay is an app founded by CEO Brent Chapman.

Former NFL coach Marvin Lewis and women’s basketball star Nancy Lieberman also sit on myNILpay’s board.

“I think it is wonderful that college athletes can take advantage of their name, image and likeness to make some money,” Dalton said in a statement. “When I learned about the myNILpay app and saw how easy it was to support any college athlete, it gave me an avenue to show my appreciation for every current athlete at TCU. I hope fans across the nation take advantage of this great app and support collegiate athletes of their choice.”

The app creates a profile for every single athlete that’s registered with the NCAA and it is basically a direct-to-consumer platform. Through myNILapp, student-athletes keep 90 percent of the profit and the company retains four percent.

Dalton, along with his wife Jordan, will contribute at least five figures on the activation of the app.

This should be especially beneficial to the TCU student-athlete contingent. If you recall, in January the TCU-focused NIL collective, Think NIL, had put an indefinite pause on its operations.
