The 2008 Boston Celtics are still remembered today for their incredible title run. With Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo, they built something special in Boston that turned out to be a massive success.

Unfortunately, things didn't exactly end on good terms. Just a few years after capturing a championship, and then making the Finals again two seasons later, Ray Allen jumped ship to join forces with an Eastern rival: LeBron James and the Miami Heat.

It crushed Pierce and Garnett at the time, and they cut ties with Allen for years before eventually burying the hatchet. In a recent talk with Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson, former Celtics guard Eddie House spoke on that beef and defended Allen's decision to sign with the Heat.

"What hurt them is that they had something, a core nucleus, and it seemed like it was ready to blow up again like they were about to do it again. And he had to leave, and that was for the business of basketball. The business was better for him if he left it wasn't the same there. If it would have been the same situation there as Boston, he might have stayed. But that wasn't the case. The case of the matter was he had to do what was best for him, what made him feel the most comfortable. And for anybody to be upset with what another man does what's best for himself and his family, I don't think people have the right to do that."

It makes sense why Allen's former Celtics teammates were so upset with him, but nobody should hold it against a man when he makes a decision he feels is best for himself.

It took a while, but Garnett and Pierce have come to accept Ray's choice and are finally re-igniting their relationship with him after years of no contact.
