Cam Thomas on how his strength training has worked out well for him

“Putting on more muscle and getting stronger this offseason has really helped me. Especially with the way how teams are guarding me, getting the best defender on is more likely every night,” Cam said after the game against the Spurs. 

“They’re playing physical. All the guards are physical on me, and I gotta maneuver to get open up top and move off screens. It’s exhausting for sure, but getting stronger has really helped me.”

Cam’s work ethic is the key for him to become a star player

While Cam is quiet and reserved, he has a superb competitive drive. The former LSU Tiger wants to compete and win every game he plays, which is the reason behind his hard work to improve as a player.

He works on his play style and improves his strength to beat the best defenders in the NBA. Thomas isn’t satisfied until he wins games and beats the opponents. It’s the right mindset for a potential star because he’s ready to take on the challenge and the uber-physical defenders like Patrick Beverley and Jrue Holiday.

Cam will keep adding to his game

With this attitude toward the game, Cam will keep adding new skills and dimensions to his arsenal. He got scouted as a go-to scorer and constantly improved as a multi-dimensional offensive player.

Thomas is showing his playmaking chops this year, as he has linked up with Nic Claxton on alley-oop plays in the pick-and-roll and kick-out plays to the rest of the Nets roster. Expect Cam to contend for an All-Star berth in the future because he has all the tools and the perfect mentality to compete at the highest level.
