MLB home run props for 4/23: Look for a bomb from Bohm

We're still on the hunt for a winner in home run props, and we're feeling good about this slate with friendly weather conditions and juicy batter-pitcher matchups abound. Here are our three favorite HR bets for Tuesday night in MLB.

Alec Bohm (+440 FanDuel)

Phillies vs. Reds, 6:40 p.m. ET

Great American Ball Park is one of the friendliest hitter's parks in MLB, and it will be even more so on Tuesday night with the wind blowing strongly out to left field. Alec Bohm is on fire for the Philadelphia Phillies with nine hits, including two home runs, in his last 19 at-bats. The third baseman is batting .321 with a team-best .607 slugging percentage against left-handed pitching this season, so we like his chances against Cincinnati Reds lefty Andrew Abbott.

Julio Rodriguez (+400 FD)

Mariners vs. Rangers, 8:05 p.m. ET

Julio Rodriguez cracked 32 home runs for the Seattle Mariners last season, so it's shocking to see him go homer-less through his first 87 at-bats in 2024. This could be a great spot for him to finally break his power slump, as Texas Rangers starter Dane Dunning has given up at least one home run in all four of his starts this season. Dunning has given up the second-highest barrel rate and average exit velocity among qualified pitchers, so opposing hitters are squaring him up consistently. Rodriguez also already has a home run against Dunning in his career.

Richie Palacios (+700 DraftKings)

Tigers vs. Rays, 6:50 p.m. ET

Kenta Maeda is an auto-fade with home run props right now. The Detroit Tigers starter has already given up seven dingers in four starts, and he's surrendered the eighth-highest wOBA among qualified pitchers. Let's fade him with Richie Palacios, who's batting .393 with a 1.023 OPS over his last 10 games. Palacios has hit both of his home runs this season off right-handed pitching, and this is a dream matchup for him to add a third.
