Kirk Cousins surprises Michigan class to help students get extra credit

Kirk Cousins has been spending some of his rehab time in his old stomping grounds, and made the effort to help a couple of students along the way.

The Vikings quarterback was undertaking a physical therapy session at Hope College in his hometown of Holland, after which he says he was stopped by two students who "told me they’d get extra credit if I showed up to class so I had to stop by."

Stop by he did, commenting: "Professor [Patrick] Gentile, thanks for having me, but now I’m holding you to that extra credit!"

Although born in the Chicago suburbs, Cousins moved to Michigan at a young age and attended Holland Christian Schools in Holland, where he eventually became the high school quarterback.

He then went on to play for Michigan State, leading them to the Big Ten Championship, where they lost a close, high-scoring game to Russell Wilson's Wisconsin Badgers.

A consolation followed however as Cousins' Spartans defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in the Outback Bowl that followed.

It wasn't the only fan interaction Cousins has had this month, with the QB surprising some young fans who had written to him during a tour of the TCO Performance Center.
