Andrew Luck Reveals He 'Struck Gold' By Going To Stanford

This past Friday, Stanford's Athletic Department welcomed 10 former student-athletes into its Hall of Fame.

The headliner of the class was former quarterback and No. 1 overall pick, Andrew Luck. The former star signal caller for the Cardinal led Stanford to a 31-8 record as a starter, leading them to three major bowl games in the 2009 Sun Bowl, 2011 Orange Bowl, and 2012 Fiesta Bowl. He was also a runner-up for the Heisman two years in a row, two-time Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year (2010-11), and broke records such wins (31), touchdowns (82), and total offense (10,387 yards), among others.

When giving his speech at the ceremony, Luck described just how important and right a decision it was for him to attend Stanford.

Luck has been seen with a few other Stanford stars such as Christian McCaffrey around campus and supporting Troy Taylor and the football program. He has also begun his coaching career over at Palo Alto High School.

Luck infamously walked away from the NFL at age 29 and has gone down as one of the biggest "what ifs" in sports. He clearly is pleased with his decision to do so, and is on to other ventures in life.
