Arizona State Sun Devils junior guard Jamiya Neal announced on social media Tuesday that he will be entering the transfer portal ahead of his senior season.
ASU along with all my teammates I’ve had through the years will always have a special place in my heart. I am very appreciative of Coach Hurley for ALWAYS believing in me from day 1 pic.twitter.com/zsp9A8EsqL

Neal finished his third season with the Sun Devils and the first where he was starting. In 32 games played this season, the 20-year-old averaged 11.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
He gave ASU a much-needed offensive spark and explosion during several games.

Neal did enter the portal last year but opted to stay with the Sun Devils. However, this is very unlikely to happen again and he will be a part of a new program come next season.
Head coach Bobby Hurley reportedly agreed to a two-year extension with the team just earlier today.
Hurley and the program will look to replace key players like Neal and Jose Perez. It is important to note that Neal will more than likely not be the only ASU player to enter the portal ahead of next season.
Neal was an integral part of this team and they are aware of that.
“Jamiya is one of our best players,” Hurley said following Neal’s 21-point performence against Oregon State last month.
This is a significant loss for the Sun Devils as they will now attempt to reshape this team ahead of the new season.
