The Ohio State University has decided to self-impose the following: vacating the wins from the 2010 season (which includes the Sugar Bowl) and putting the program on probation for two years.
They have not gone toward the step of imposing a bowl ban or reducing their scholarships.
Ohio State waived the $250k fine that Jim Tressel was suppose to pay for committing violations. Instead, Ohio State will pay him the $52,250 he was supposed to make in the month of June. This is a reversal from the statement President E. Gordon Gee made that Tressel was going to have to pay the fine.
Get serious Buckeyes. The NCAA might have a chuckle for a moment at those measures. Then, they are going to hit you. Probably harder than they were going to for such a lowball offer.
