Before this season began, the 2010 Doak Walker Award winner LaMichael James was expected to have another big year in 2011. After a disappointing first outing against LSU, James was destroying teams. He was working his magic for Oregon against Cal on Thursday night and went over 200 yards before a serious looking injury to his arm put him in an air cast. James said after the game that he just has a dislocated elbow and that he'll be back this season. Now that three teams (Pittsburgh, Syracuse and TCU) have left the Big East for greener pastures, the Big East has decided to act and could ask Central Florida and East Carolina to join the conference on Friday. Miami is already struggling this season, but they will have to continue on without another defender. Defensive tackle Marcus Fortson is out for the season with a knee injury. LSU head coach Les Miles doesn't appear interested in leaving the Tigers for an NFL head coaching job.
