Jim Tressel is being sent to a compliance seminar. The NCAA seminar will take place June 6-10 in Tampa, Florida. The venue is a waterfront hotel. The seminar is part of the punishment for Tressel's failure to notify his university's compliance office about violations by his players. Tressel is suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season. He was also fined $250,000, had to give a public apology, and was publicly reprimanded.
One of the topics on the agenda for the event is "Division 1 Major Infractions."
The NCAA is still looking into the infractions at Ohio State and the university and Tressel are scheduled to meet with the NCAA August 12.
