Jim Tressel Lawyers Up, Won't Resign

In a move that makes his intentions to remain coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes very clear, Jim Tressel has decided to lawyer up. Tressel hired Gene Marsh, who was the former NCAA chair on infractions (a position the Ohio State grad held from 2004-2006). Former Buckeye and currently ESPN analyst Chris Spielman thinks Tressel won't be coaching at all in 2011 because "there is more stuff coming out." Tressel's decision to retain Marsh shows that he plans to fight to be to be on the sidelines (after his five game suspension to start the year, of course).
Ohio State will have a separate lawyer than Tressel for the NCAA infractions hearing on August 12.

I think we all put Jim Tressel on a pedestal. Like Humpty Dumpty he took a fall and as the poem said, could not put him together again. How unfortunate for the university, the team/students and especially for Jim's otherwise stellar career. I for one, hope there is some way he can be disciplined, but still remain at The Ohio State University.
